I had the impulse to do one of these after watching the movie again. Started life as a cheap scrapbook, handmade leather cover, drilled the holes on the side from the grommets, put them in, found some leather for the ‘string’ that goes on the side, did the gold designs on the cover with a gold leaf pen and did the lettering with some custom letters. Hit some of the leather with sandpaper to give it an older, worn look.
Works just as well and just as sturdy as store bought scrapbooks-holds 12x12 pages with more being able to be added.
